First off, welcome to Boxofit.com's Community Gaming Initiative. We're always looking for new members and are happy to have you here with us.
As a new member, there are few things you need to be made aware of:
1) In effort to protect our members from unsolicited spam, all newly registered accounts will have their first 3 posts go into a moderation queue for approval. Yes, it's an inconvenience, I know - but it's proven one of the single most effective methods of spam prevention; we simply ask for your patience in the approval process, as we do not employ full-time staff - so your post may be delayed by upwards of 16 hours before it appears, although we will do everything within reason to address posts in a much more reasonable time frame.
If you are found posting advertisements within your first three posts, you are subject to immediate ban. If you are found posting advisement(s) after that, dependent on the nature and/or severity and frequency of the violation - you are subject to ban, having your email and internet providers contacted and your accounts discontinued, as well as having the organization your advertising for contacted and made aware of your illegal activity - at the discretion of the Boxofit.com Staff.
If you are unsure as to whether or not a post you're considering making would count as spam, ask a staff member BEFORE posting it. In certain cases, approval may be given on a per-post basis for advertisement-centered posts.
If you are banned and need to contest your spam-related ban, you may email
anti-spam@boxofit.com with your username and date of ban.
2) People who have shown both interest and dedication to the community and/or it's gaming servers will be the ones considered for staff positions. An ideal Boxofit.com Staffer is someone who is well-liked within the community, knowledgeable of the game(s) and/or subject(s) they are put in charge of, and willing to work with others to ensure the enforcement of our rules and the betterment of our community. While no harm can come of expressing an interest in the position - repeated 'reminders' are unneeded and unappreciated. "Begging" for rank within the community or a game server greatly decreases your chances of receiving it.
3) As of this moment, our rules are in a state of draft, which leaves you, the community, to self-regulate what behavior you feel is appropriate for yourself and others. This means we are trusting you to use your own personal maturity, discretion, and sensibility to ensure that your posts, images, and actions - both within our forums as well as our games and other services - are acceptable. We will not put up with the harassment of our members.
